Welcome to West Coast Life in Langebaan; where you can fully experience the West Coast through our extensive tourism bouquet. From roaring fires, local wines or a hot spot to feast, we’ve got you covered.

Visit the popular Tropicana Beach Bar with occasional live music to keep the blood pumping to the rhythm of the West Coast surf or take a stroll to the Tropicana Beach Diner, nuzzled right next to the beach bar; our pleasant eatery is perfect for casual dining and family picnics.

Or smarten up and wander on down to Longacres Wine Estate with it’s calm farm-like familiarity for an intriguing wine tasting experience, open Wednesday to Sunday between 12h00 and 17h00 (next to the new Langebaan vineyards). The Longacres Tapas Restaurant serves food on chic pottery plates and the menu has a rustic feel, promising a West Coast twist and a tasty connoisseur’s touch; open between 12h30 and 17h00. Lagoon Yacht Cruises - Braai!!!

The most idyllic experience: Venture out to Kraal Bay to the southern parts of the Langebaan Lagoon on an exclusive braai cruise on one of our Sea Stallion Catamarans. Swim in the shallow warm waters of the protected Kraalbay, or use our rubber duck to explore the beach, while the skipper is braaiing on the yacht and getting your lunch ready! Cash bar facilities are available. The ideal package: we recommend an arrival night in one of our beachfront guesthouses, an evening at our stoep restaurant, a day on the lagoon, and one night to recover in luxury with the most beautiful sea views!

Opening of Crystal - Mathys Roets

Crystal Lagoon Lodge celebrates its opening function on 27 August 2009 by hosting Mathys Roets. We are very excited to have such an inspiring great soul aboard…and look forward to a great evening of his music and presence.

When you think of the West Coast what do you think of ?
This is an amazing place with special people and its so wonderful spending time there. When you’re on the West Coast you just realize that this is one of the areas that you have to visit more often.

You are probably very busy with shows for this year?
Yes, I am very busy, booked for the year, I’ll have to start turning people down as my program is getting full.

When is your next show in the Western Cape?
My first show is the one in the West Coast and I really don’t think that I will be able to come to the Western Cape this year again.

Is there something that you’d like to share with the people, your fans?
Yes it’s unbelievable to be able to sing again after I thought it was not going to ever be possible again.
